Presently, he is Ph.D Bioinformatics scholar at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. He was also assigned extra responsibilities of Senior Research Officer in an open source project titled as ‘Integration of Open Source Software Projects in IT Education’ from 2008 to 2010. About Usman Muhammad Qamar Virtual University of Pakistan Qamar Usman did his MS Computer Science from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and specializing in Database systems. There as a MS thesis research project he designed and developed a system called “Keyword Search Evaluation System in Relational Databases” in which he played a role of an analyst and programmer. Qamar Usman started his career as a Software Engineer at Ibrahim Fibres, Faisalabad where he developed and maintained their in-house systems named Human Capital Management (HCM) developed in VB6, Inward/Outward Gate Pass (IOGP) developed in ASP.NET and Goods Receipt Note (GRN) which was also developed in ASP.NET. There he also managed some time to learn Oracle Applications administration and also studied user manuals of Oracle 11i modules including Accounts Receivables (AR), Payables, General Ledger, Oracle Inventory, Fixed Assets and Purchasing. After that he joined Virtual University of Pakistan due to his genuine interest in teaching and learning more. Qamar is currently an Instructor of Computer Science in Virtual University Of Pakistan and have taught many courses to BS, MBA and MCS students from last two and half years.
